Yes… honesty is a cornerstone of any meaningful relationship.
There are other attributes in a partner that can make for an
enjoyable and satisfying relationship. These include:
Intelligence: Smarts are a strong factor for date appeal. Maybe it’
s instinct, maybe it’s intuition. People can’t help but think that a
smart partner can be a fun partner, offering mental stimulation,
compatibility, and appreciation of the things in life. Smart people
tend to be successful, funny and interesting. Maybe men and
women find such a quality appealing in each other for a
satisfying relationship, or maybe thinking of the big picture that a
smart partner can make for a smart parent if things get serious
and go well. Men and women can find smarts to be a sexy quality
in their significant other.
Trust: Honesty can lead to trust. If you don’t trust someone, you’
re not likely to be interested in delving further into a relationship
with them. Trust in a relationship could take time to develop. Like
many other things, someone’s good qualities might not
necessarily emerge on a single date. Trust can be knowing that
person’s going to be there if you need them, and that in a pinch,
they’ll in your camp fighting on your side.
Kindness: The measure of a person’s kindness shows in how
they treat co-workers, subordinates, friends and strangers.
Because initial dates might be seen as a controlled
environment, it could take time to realize this trait in a person.
However, although it is said that we are all created equal, we all
know that in this world there are kind people and mean people.
The ability to identify your mate’s index of kindness in early
situations can give an indication of how he or she may treat you
when the “honeymoon” period is over.
